Frequently Asked Questions

  • What should I bring to class?
    - A bottle of water to stay hydrated while you practice (don’t forget to arrive hydrated and drink plenty of water post class too) - A towel is highly recommended - Comfortable and breathable or moisture-wicking clothing that you can move in - We have mats, blocks, bolsters, straps and any other props you may need at the studio. If you have a mat, please feel free to bring your own!
  • Where can I change?
We have change rooms available. All personal belongings can be kept in one of the cubbies outside the main studio.
  • Where should I park?
There is free 2 hour street parking right outside the Garage Building. If you are unable to find street parking out front, you can park at the mall across Trunk Road. It is a short walk across the intersection to the studio.
  • I am pregnant, can I do hot yoga?
It is not recommended for pregnant women to spend great lengths of time in the heat. It would be safest if you waited until after you have recovered from your delivery before taking a hot class. If you are pregnant, and would like to take a yoga class please reach out to the studio! We have a prenatal certified yoga instructor who would be happy to arrange a class to accommodate mamas to be.
  • What are some precautions for hot yoga?
You know your body best. If you have any concerns, please reach out to your instructor prior to class to discuss if the heat will be right for you. Although hot yoga is safe for most people, if you have a pre-existing heart condition it would not be recommended that you take part in hot yoga. Participants should be mindful not to overstretch and to ensure that they are well hydrated prior to coming into class. Bring a bottle of water to sip throughout class to prevent dehydration.
  • What should I eat before coming to class?
Ideally you do not want to practice yoga right after a heavy meal. Eating something light within the hour prior to your class will give you energy to move about comfortably without feeling weighed down.
  • I’ve never done hot yoga, what should I expect?
Like any type of new exercise, you should ease your way into it. Listen to your body and don’t try to do too much all at once. Laying on your mat or resting in child’s pose is always an option if you need a break. Be proud of yourself for showing up, and just enjoy the journey of taking on a new challenge! We are cheering you on and love seeing how your practice transforms as you continue to show up and put in the effort.
